Fred Buffi has university degrees in Education, Science and Educational Administration. He has been a leader in schools and at the district level since 1978. He has been an administrator at 4 middle schools and 3 high schools during that time. He also has experience in coordinating the Leadership Services department in the district office where he was responsible for providing advice, assistance and training for new school administrators.He is currently the principal of W.P. Wagner High School of Science and Technology in Edmonton, Canada.Fred serves on the Mayor's Task Force for Community Improvement and he received an Educational Trust Research Grant to promote tolerance and understanding among students. He has also served as President of the Public School Administrator's Association.

Mr. Buffi is principal of W.P.Wagner High School in Edmonton, Canada. This school of 1500 students specializes in the teaching of Science and Technology to students in grades 10-12. The school operates a program called F.I.R.S.T. that pairs students with professional mentors from the scientific community, the Science Faculty at the University of Alberta, and the Alberta Research Council. Students are able to take advanced classwork and receive credit for first year university classes. This year the school was recognized by a private educational foundation for consistantly high levels of student achievement.
