莫纳什大学高级工程硕士是学生职业生涯的过渡阶段,本专业将使学生编程一个全球的领导者。通过本专业课程的学习，学生将学习专业的知识和掌握关键技能;本专业学生将学习可再生能源,航空航天、建筑、运输、和生物医学设备领域的高级机械工程系统的设计方法，监控以及复杂的机械性能。
机械工程师的工作就是将能量转化为运作和动力。可从事以下领域的工作：发电站、再生能源系统、电力发电机、机器人、推力系统、计算机系统、天气控制系统、分离和联合设计、航天发动机和汽车等。还可研究固体、液体、气体受外力应用、加热和冷却时的特性。第二年的课程给学生探索工程和工程科学的实践机会。第三年学习工程和机械工程实践的专业知识。主题有：非固定机械、工程实践、设计管理、工程热力学、机械振动。最后一年，学生可以实践自己感兴趣领域的项目，选修4门课程，可以从自己的领域选，也可以从另外一个学院选。
