托福口语Task4的内容是学术讲座，很多中国考生都会感觉难度比较大，为了帮助考生在这道题中发挥的更好，下面为大家带来托福口语Task4 难点及答题方法分析一文，希望对大家托福备考有所帮助。

一、题目得分点

首先看看题目要求：Using the example from the lecture, explain what behavior modification is and how it works.要求中包含了三个重要的内容，即得分点：1.使用听力讲座中的例子;2.解释文章中的一个概念(behavior modification);3.这个概念是如何发挥作用的。使用听力中的例子，即要将听力的内容完整地概括出来。一般来说，听力中包含一个或两个具体的例子或实验，字数在280-320左右，要求考生在一分钟之内将例子概括完整。如果概括的不全面，那么分数就会受到很大的影响。

第二个得分点是解释文章中的一个概念，也就是全篇的topic。考生只需将阅读中的题目及解释用简短的句子概括即可。

第三个得分点是分析这个概念是如何发挥作用的。建议考生在概括完听力中的例子后，用一句话来回应第三个得分点，例如：From the examples we can conclude that pleasant consequence encourages the repetition of behaviors.

此外，还有一个隐性的得分点：语言连贯性，要求考生在回答问题时，不仅要做到内容完整，还要整体上连贯流利。所以在平时的练习中，要有意识地培养自己的语言连贯性，不求语速达到多快，而求语言听起来句子连贯，能清楚地表达语义即可。

二、难点及方法

难点一：生僻的专业词汇较多。

托福口语task4是学术讲座，涉及的领域有：心理学、艺术、生物学、经济学等，专业词汇较多，学生难免会遇到生词，影响对全文的理解。那么应该如何来应对呢?其实，在讲座中通常都有这样一个规律，凡是第一次出现的概念或生僻词，都会用浅显的句子进行解释。这一点在有些阅读材料中也同样适用。

难点二：概括难度大。

在一分钟之内用口语概括出阅读、听力中的内容，这个是很有难度的。看一个例题：One group got the boy looking angry. In fact he was actually throwing the cake on the floor. The other group got a picture of the boy smiling, happy, holding

out the cake like he was offering it. Same boy, same cake, but different emotions expressed in each picture.
