In most of the schools in my country, there must be hundreds of rules and frankly speaking, most of them are irrational. However, the rule that I cant stand at all is the one we had in my high school. All students in my high school had to have lunch in the schools cafeteria and no one was allowed to go out of the school or to go home to have lunch. Anyone who broke this rule would be severely punished by writing aself-criticism of more than ten thousand words.

To start with, I couldnt understand why we had a rule like this, or why we all had to have lunch in schools canteen In fact, at that time my home was only one block away from my high school, which means I definitely had enough time to have lunch at home. Besides, the food provided by our cafeteria was absolutely unpalatable. We even doubted whether they cook for us carefully.

In winter, there were only two kinds of vegetables that we could eat：Chinese cabbage and potatoes. Students made frequent complaints to our headmaster. No one was replied. I could never forget what experienced in my high school about this in my whole life.
