What is your favorite festival?

Among all the Chinese festivals, Ill say the Lantern festival is the best. Actually, this festival wasnt celebrated as much as people did before but I still love it because you got plenty of things to do on that day. For example, every family cooks the glutinous rice balls. We call it TANGYUAN. Its a famous dessert served in sweet or savory soup. Besides that, therere always lantern displays in the temples where you can watch beautiful paper lanterns made in all kinds of shapes, and in the evening, they look even more magnificent. I really hope people can preserve this festival better and longer.

How do people in your country celebrate this festival?

They do a lot of things. Apart from the activities I just mentioned, there are also do riddle-guessing and lion dancing. I think this is a festival thats celebrated by all people, men and women, young and old. And its a nice day to have some good food and good fun.

What do you usually do on traditional holidays in China?

First, I usually follow the norm you know. There are some traditions for certain holidays. So, take Lantern festival as an example, you must eat some delicious rice balls with your familythis is a good way to commemorate this festival. Then, each family may do something differentsome likes to go travelling, some goes for a movie and my families tend to visit relatives and throw a lot of home parties.
