I think video editing is a very important skill especially nowadays. I am really pleased I took it up, as there are many benefits. For example, it helped me get a part-time job. For the last month, I have been helping an online celebrity edit one or two of her daily vlogs and she pays me 500 yuan for each one.

Even though I am still a student, the extra money helps a lot. My parents are also proud that I am independent and making my own money.

Example two：Shorthand

I think shorthand is a very important skill not only for students but also for people who are working. It is a good way to improve efficiency. I used to be a slow writer and I always found it difficult to keep up in class.

Because of this, my grades dropped a lot and I panicked. Now I have learnt how to use it, school is less stressful. When the teachers talk quickly, I can write everything down without missing a word.

Example three：Flower arranging

I am really pleased I took up this hobby. It brings me a lot of joy and color everyday. It brightens my mood and leaves me feeling very positive. For example, last week, I was feeling really down and I was overwhelmed about my coming exam.

Then I started make a bouquet and the flowers gave me energy and the motivation to go on. I recommended this skill to all my friends.

I think first aid is a very useful life-saving skill to have because you can always help out in an emergency. Several months ago, my friend took part in a marathon but unfortunately he twisted his ankle.

Everybody started to panic, but I kept calm, checked him over and applied an iced water bottle to the injury. 10 mins later, the doctor came and complimented me for what I had done to reduce his pain. I felt really proud of myself.

For example, when the coronavirus outbreak 冠状病毒爆发 happened, many people lost their jobs or had their hours reduced. For these people, it was a tough period, as they didnt have anything to fall back on 求助, but for people who had put away some savings, it wasnt such a worry.

Example ：How to meditate

I think it is a very important skill for all of us to learn, as it really helpsalleviate 缓解 stress. I used to easily get distracted and would find difficult to focus on individual tasks.

However, everything changed when I learnt how to meditate 冥想. Now I can manage my time well and accomplish all my tasks, because my mind is no longer cluttered 凌乱的.

I think communication skills are vital. Not only for business, but also for everyday life. In the past, I didnt know how to talk to others effectively and a lot of the time my message was lost, but now, I think I am good at being clear. As a result, conversations are lot smoother.
