The time Im going to talk about is when I missed my appointment with Enzo, one of my best friends. Actually right now Enzo is studying in Italy, and every year he comes back China once or twice, so we usually meet up then. Im always looking forward to hanging out with him, listening to his complaints about pasta and DolceGabbana.

Anyway, I kind of stood him up once when it was about 1 year ago. I remember it was a boiling summer day like these days, without worries about the coronavirus pandemic, though. Before the appointed day, he had called me and we decided to grab a cup of coffee in the Starbucks in the Mix City around 9 am the next day. But, yeah, I didnt make it.

It was due to my essay. My graduation was approaching and I got stick on my essay all day around during those days. Actually Id had a fear that I mightve missed the appointment when we talked about where to meet, but I didnt tell him for its not easy for me to see him. Unfortunately, the next day just before I was about to leave for the Mix City, my tutor called me to talk about my essay right away in his office. I was speechless, really, but what I could do was just call Enzo and cancel the appointment.
