When people talk face-to-face it opens up a conversation. It is not only about what is being said, it is about the shared experience and body language. This means that there is space to communicate more. Sometimes when you communicate online it can drain your energy. Whereas if you talk in person it can energise you. I think that people communicate more when they talk face-to-face.

2.What do young people have conversations about?

Young people have conversations about everything. From the people and relationships in their lives to what they are learning. Also, their hopes and dreams and day-to-day problems. They are more likely to focus on immediate things like university and finding jobs, the challenges you experience at that age.

Well, I would say that social media probably means that people are having conversations significantly more. 4.Do you think we need to be good at communication at work?

I think it is a useful skill. It is one thing to struggle with communication on a social level but if it impacts your career that can be disastrous. It cannot be avoided; communication is a necessary ability to have.
