雅思口语part3话题【一个熊孩子的行为】高分素材!

What kind of bad behavior do children act?

Well, it seems that children at different ages tend to have different bad behaviours. Normally, they are likely to lie to get attention or avoid getting in trouble. Besides, some kids would ignore the parents words when they are told to pick up their toys.

What should parents do to correct the situation when their children are behaving badly?

Parents are supposed to correct childrens bad behaviours through various means. For example, they can praise children when they tell the truth. And when the child is defiant, a single warning can be offered like if you dont pick up your toys right now, then you wont be able to watch TV tonight.

Do children have the awareness of behaving badly? why?

Im not quite sure about it. I think sometimes children are not well-behaved because they want to get attention from parents. So in this case, they tend to be aware of the possible consequences of their behaviours. But in other cases such as temper tantrums, I do believe that little kids cannot control themselves in this regard.

Should children be forgiven immediately due to their young age? why?

I dont think so. If forgiven immediately, it will be harder for children to be well-behaved later on. Instead, parents should set certain rules and guide children to be self-disciplined. And when a young child hasnt followed the rules, parents dont need to minimize his or her discomfort immediately. Feeling a bit guilt plays a vital role in learning to determine right from wrong.

Who has a larger influence on children, parents or friends? why?I think it depends on childrens age. When children are under ten, parents are doomed to have larger impacts on them. But teenagers tend to associate more with their peers so friends are more important than parents in development at this stage. This is mainly because parents are seen to be old-fashioned hence, what they say may not make a lot of sense to their children at this age.

Are parents in the past stricter with their children than parents at present?

I dont think so. I believe that todays parents are stricter than before because of the fierce competitions throughout the society. And todays parents are placing higher expectations on their offspring. But on the other side, current society doesnt tolerate the type of abuses that were going on in the past under the name of parenting, such as hitting kids.

Is it a common situation that parents beat children in China?

Im not quite sure about it but as far as I know, from the people around me, beating children is quite common in China. I think authoritative parenting adopted in most households in China could be the main reason for it. But I dont agree with such harsh parenting styles because they are likely to cause mental illness among kids, which is unhelpful in the long run.

What are the differences of educating method adopted between the current parents and earlier generation?

Certainly there are various differences. Firstly, todays parents are giving children more freedom. For instance, they teach children to search for the answers instead of directly providing the answers. Besides, in the past, parents would always guard against problems but now, children are allowed to make mistakes. To sum up, todays educating method attaches greater importance to childrens mental well-being and their individual characteristics.

Among the factors that affect childrens behaviours, which factor do you think is the most important? why?

Well, absolutely there are numerous factors influencing childrens behaviours. On top of that, the environment plays a critical role in the development of children. To be specific, a good school and a loving family build in children strong social and interpersonal skills, which will make them excel in other areas such as academics and career later on.
