罗德岛设计学院是美国最古老也是最闻名的艺术设计学院之一。美国新闻与世界报道的排名，罗德岛艺术学院的艺术类专业全美第一，在耶鲁大学和芝加哥艺术学院之上。

除了艺术类，学校的平面设计，工业设计，版画排名第一;绘画专业排名第二;陶瓷和摄影排名第三。被誉为艺术类大学中的哈佛。

Rhode Island School of Design is a private, nonprofit college founded in Providence, RI in 1877—making it one of the first art and design schools in the US. Approximately 2,480 students from around the world are engaged in liberal arts studies and rigorous, studio-based learning at RISD (pronounced “RIZ-dee”), where they choose from 19 studio majors and earn bachelor’s or master’s degrees in the fine arts, architecture, design or art education. Each year more than 5,800 children and adults also access our specialized studio facilities through RISD|CE courses.

罗德岛设计学院要求

（1）本科生初申请截止时间：11月1日；常规截止时间：2月1日

（2）申请提交材料

1、成绩单：提交最近学业的官方成绩单译本

2、SAT或ACT：所有申请者都需要提交SAT或ACT，

3、语言成绩：TOEFL最低93，IELTS最低6.5，

4、作品集：12-20件，通过SlideRoom提交(额外费用$10)

5、绘画作品：提交两件绘画样本，背景为白纸16x20

6、两份写作

（3）研究生申请

研究生入学要求申请截止时间：每年1月10日；

语言成绩IBT：93 ；IELTS：6.5；

作品集：10-20份。DVD、CD、幻灯片格式均可。电子作品每份不得超过3MB，格式要求为JPG。扫描件或者演示部分的DVD、CD需要提交的格式为视频或者QuickTimefiles。

罗德岛设计学院共有19个系，热门学科有：建筑、平面设计、插画Illustration等。

本科生专业：服饰设计、建筑学、陶艺学、电影/动画/视频制作、家具设计、玻璃设计、平面设计、插图、工业设计、室内建筑、珠宝/金工设计、油画、摄影、印刷学、雕刻、纺织品设计 。

研究生专业：艺术史、建筑学、艺术设计教育、陶艺、数字媒体、家具设计、玻璃设计、平面设计、工业设计、室内建筑、珠宝/金工设计、景观建筑、油画、摄影、印刷学、雕塑、纺织品设计。
