On October 28, 2024, the unveiling ceremony for the Zhongqiao·Paris Fashion Industry College was held at Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, marking a major milestone in the university's cooperative efforts within higher and vocational education between China and France. Jointly established by Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and the MOD’ART International. The new College aims to bring France’s leading fashion education concepts and apprenticeship-based teaching model to students, establishing a dual pathway for both international study and career opportunities, enhancing the development of an innovative talent cultivation model. This partnership will provide strong support for internationalization and talent cultivation in China’s fashion industry.

Mr. Chen Dapeng, Vice President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council and President of the China National Garment Association, extended his congratulations on the establishment of the Zhongqiao·Paris Fashion Industry College. He emphasized that the textile and apparel industry is not only a traditional labor-intensive sector but also an innovation-driven tech industry, a culturally-driven fashion industry, and a sustainability-focused industry. The college’s establishment injects new vitality into Shanghai Zhongqiao University, helping to cultivate highly skilled technical talents who are closely aligned with the demands of the industry and enterprises through an internationalized education model.

On behalf of ZETA Group and Zhongqiao University, Mr. Qi Xianchao, Executive President of ZETA Group, expressed gratitude to all enterprises and leaders who have supported the college’s establishment. He stated that the partnership between Zhongqiao University and the MOD’ART International is a significant milestone for the university and a substantial advancement for the fashion industry as well as fashion education. As Shanghai’s only vocational undergraduate university, Zhongqiao remains committed to serving local economic and social development by continuously exploring innovative educational models. Through this partnership, the college integrates France’s leading fashion education concepts and apprenticeship system, building both an overseas education platform and an industry-employment pathway. The integration of talent and industry provides robust support for the sustainable development of Shanghai’s fashion industry.

Professor Huo Jiazhen, President of Zhongqiao University, and Ms. Marie Cherifi, President of the MOD’ART International, formally signed the cooperation agreement, officially launching the Zhongqiao·Paris Fashion Industry College.

This collaboration marks a significant step in the university's internationalization efforts. By integrating French fashion education resources, Zhongqiao University will unleash the potential and vitality of industry-education collaboration to continually improve students' career professionalism, employment competitiveness, and the university’s ability to support industry needs. This partnership will cultivate fashion professionals with an international perspective.

Mr. Yan Jianjun, Chairman of ZETA Group and Mr. Sun Fangbo, Deputy Director of the Education Bureau of Jinshan District,  jointly unveiled the plaque for the Zhongqiao·Paris Fashion Industry College.

Following the unveiling ceremony, Ms. Marie Cherifi and President Huo presented appointment letters to the inaugural prominent experts from Zhongqiao·Paris Fashion Industry College and companies. These mentors will provide mentorship to students in areas such as curriculum development, practical training, and career support. This high-caliber mentor team aims to enhance students’ practical skills and industry adaptability, embodying the institute's mission of “collaborative education through industry-education cooperation.”
