The line graphs illustrate the amount of steel produced and needed as well as how many employees were hired in 2010 in Britain.Overall,the production of steel was more than the demand for it during the year except for December;meanwhile,the number of workers employed experienced a decreasing trend.

Starting with the production of and demand for steel,4,000 million tonnes were produced in January and then the amount increased to 5,000 million before dropping back to the January figure in March.After that,the number stabilised for four months but decreased to approximately 3,500 million in August.Following this,there was a significant decline in the quantity prior to it plugging to just under 1,000 million in December.Regarding the demand,only 2,000 million were produced in January,followed by a moderate rise to 3,000 million in March.Over the next eight months,the figure fluctuated,reaching roughly 10 million in November.Interestingly,the quantity overtook that of production in December,at 2,000 million.

Turning to the employees,5,000 people worked in this industry at the beginning of 2010.Although the number was around 5,500 in February,a rapid fall to about 2,800 in July was seen.After that,there was a slight increase in the figure in August,at approximately 3,500,but it went down significantly to merely 1,000 at the end.
